This research within this report aims to provide value by addressing a current real-world challenge which is urgent and lacking critical investigation. The research question is: ‘What are the barriers and enablers for a just energy transition in Queensland’s Western Downs and South Burnett regions?’
The report is for communities, decision makers, and industry, and summarises dissertation research completed as part of a Masters in Sustainability and Adaptation.

We understand that it may be difficult to find the Queensland Government’s plans and strategy relating to energy, and have provided copies of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan and its related framework of documents below. We understand this plan is still active, although it is being reconsidered and revised by the current government.
